    Certified Attorneys are recognized by the state’s Board of Legal Specialization for their extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of civil trial law. To earn this certification, attorneys must meet certain requirements, including demonstrating proficiency through significant trial experience, successfully completing specialized training, and passing a comprehensive exam.

    What does it mean when an attorney is certified?

    A certified attorney is a legal professional who has met the high standards set by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. To become certified, an attorney must:

    • Be an active member in good standing of the New Jersey Bar for over 5 years
    • Complete ongoing legal education requirements to stay current with the law
    • Demonstrate significant experience and skill in civil trial law
    • Receive positive evaluations from peers and judges familiar with their work
    • Taken and passed a written examination in civil trial aw
