Stark & Stark is proud to announce that Joseph Gable, Jr. recently secured a $1.138 million verdict for his client, a Patrolman for the Mount Laurel Police Department, before the Honorable James J. Ferrelli, J.S.C. in Burlington County.
The Patrolman was a 30-year-old police officer and veteran of the Marine Corps. On June 26, 2016, he responded to the scene of a fight that had broken out at a wedding. After arriving at the scene, the Patrolman attempted to break up the fight and protect those involved but was knocked down while trying to diffuse the situation, with multiple people falling on top of him.
The Plaintiff suffered multiple injuries from the incident, including a torn labrum in his right hip that led to arthroscopic repair, a torn meniscus in his right knee, which required arthroscopic repair, a low back injury, and a concussion. Though he is now back to work, he is still living with the effects from his injuries.
“The police officers here in Burlington County do so much for all of us every day,” said Joseph. “It was my honor to return the favor and fight for this officer to ensure he received a fair recovery for his injuries. And judging by the verdict they rendered, it is clear that the men and women of the jury felt the same way.”
Joseph is an Associate and member of the Accident & Personal Injury Group in the Marlton, NJ office. He represents individuals that have been killed or have suffered spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries and other catastrophic injuries resulting from the negligence of others, including automobile crashes, premises liability, including slip and fall, elevator and escalator injuries, and snow and ice related injuries, and product liability matters.
