Stark & Stark is proud to congratulate Shareholder Denise Mariani for being selected by the Mercer County Bar Association (MCBA) as the recipient of the 2022 Michael J. Nizolek Award*. Denise has been involved with MCBA for many years and previously served as President, Trustee & Officer, and Chair of the Community Projects Committee. Denise received the MCBA’s Young Lawyer of the Year Award in 2003 and the Professional Lawyer of the Year Award in 2020.
The Nizolek award is named for the late Michael J. Nizolek, Esquire, who served the MCBA as its president in 1992 and as trustee for many years. The award recognizes an individual for unselfish contributions to both the legal profession and community. Denise joins an impressive roster of past awardees, which includes John A. Sakson (awarded in 2007) and Albert Stark (awarded in 2012).
Denise is Chair of the Nursing Home Negligence & Abuse Group and a member of the Wrongful Death and Medical Malpractice Groups. She specializes in representing the families of residents and patients who, through negligence or abuse, have died or been seriously injured in a long-term care facility or rehabilitation center.
