    Bhaveen R. Jani

    Shareholder

Bhaveen R. Jani, Esq. is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and Shareholder in the Accident & Personal Injury Group at Stark & Stark. Known for his skill in the courtroom and deep commitment to client advocacy, Bhaveen focuses his practice on cases involving motor vehicle and tractor-trailer crashes, as well as premises liability, often handling complex cases that result in catastrophic spinal and traumatic brain injuries. With extensive experience across federal, state, and appellate courts throughout New Jersey, he has a proven track record of securing significant verdicts and settlements for his clients.

Bhaveen’s background as a former defense attorney uniquely positions him to provide strategic and highly effective representation for personal injury victims. Before joining Stark & Stark, he represented physicians, dentists, and hospitals in medical malpractice and general liability matters. In defending these cases, he gained an in-depth understanding of defense tactics, insurers’ decision-making processes, and the strategies the defense often utilize to limit payouts. This experience is invaluable in his current role as a plaintiff’s trial attorney, where he leverages his insight into the opposition’s approach to anticipate and counter their strategies, creating a powerful advantage for his clients.

As a trial lawyer, he knows how to identify and challenge weaknesses in the opposition’s case, whether by dissecting expert testimony, uncovering procedural gaps, or highlighting facts that strengthen his clients’ position. This dual perspective—as both a former defense attorney and now a plaintiff’s advocate—enables Bhaveen to build robust cases that anticipate every angle the defense might pursue, enhancing his clients’ chances of success.

Born in Hoboken and raised in Edison, Bhaveen is a lifelong New Jersey resident deeply committed to serving the communities where he grew up. He earned his law degree from Villanova University School of Law and holds an undergraduate degree in Finance and International Business from The George Washington University School of Business. Before law school, he worked at a major investment firm in New York City.

Beyond the courtroom, Bhaveen is a dedicated leader and advocate for the South Asian community. He served two terms as President of the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey (SABA-NJ), the state’s largest South Asian affinity bar association, and frequently collaborates with community organizations to provide resources and education. Bhaveen has appeared on television as an advocate and organizes “Know Your Rights” seminars, leveraging his legal knowledge to support New Jersey’s growing South Asian population. He is also conversational in Gujarati, allowing him to connect with clients and community members in their native language.

Bhaveen’s commitment to justice and his results-oriented approach have earned him numerous accolades, including SABA-NJ’s Professional Lawyer of the Year award twice, presented by the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law. He also serves on the Board of Governors for the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ), where he contributes his insights on trial strategy, case law, and cultural competency. Bhaveen was also appointed to a three-year term by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to the Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law.

Through his skillful trial advocacy, insider knowledge from his defense background, and dedication to his clients, Bhaveen continues to make a meaningful impact, both in the courtroom and in the community.
