Bhaveen R. Jani, Esq. represents individuals and families whose lives have been changed by serious injuries resulting from motor vehicle and tractor-trailer crashes, unsafe properties, and other catastrophic accidents. He is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and Shareholder in the Accident & Personal Injury Group at Stark & Stark. With experience trying cases throughout New Jersey’s federal and state courts, Bhaveen prepares every case as though it will be decided by a jury, an approach that has helped him obtain significant verdicts and settlements for his clients.
Before dedicating his practice to representing injured individuals, Bhaveen spent years defending physicians, hospitals, businesses, and insurance companies in medical malpractice and general liability litigation. That experience gave him a firsthand understanding of how insurance carriers evaluate claims, how defense attorneys develop their strategies, and what drives settlement decisions. Today, he uses that insight to anticipate the opposition’s arguments, identify weaknesses before they become obstacles, and position his clients’ cases for the strongest possible outcome.
Bhaveen believes that successful trial lawyers do more than know the law, they earn credibility. He is known for meticulous preparation, practical communication, and the ability to present complex medical and technical evidence in a way that juries can understand. Whether negotiating a settlement or standing before a jury, his focus remains the same: telling his client’s story with honesty, clarity, and conviction.
Born in Hoboken, raised in Edison, and still proud to call New Jersey home, Bhaveen has deep roots in the communities he serves. He earned his law degree from Villanova University School of Law and his undergraduate degree in Finance and International Business from The George Washington University School of Business. Before entering the legal profession, he worked at a major investment bank in New York City, an experience that strengthened his analytical and financial skills.
Outside the courtroom, Bhaveen is a devoted husband and proud father of three young boys. He enjoys traveling with his family, discovering new restaurants together, following the NFL and NBA, and starting many mornings on his Peloton. Much of his free time is also spent cheering on his sons at their many youth sporting events, where he rarely misses the opportunity to be on the sidelines. Those experiences keep him grounded and reinforce the importance of protecting the families and futures of the clients who place their trust in him.
A passionate advocate for both the legal profession and his community, Bhaveen served two terms as President of the South Asian Bar Association of New Jersey (SABA-NJ), where he helped expand opportunities for diverse attorneys and increase access to legal resources throughout the state. He continues to present “Know Your Rights” seminars, appears as a legal commentator, and works with community organizations to educate individuals about their legal rights. Conversational in Gujarati, he can communicate with many clients and families in their native language.
His professional leadership extends beyond his law practice. Bhaveen serves on the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and the New Jersey Association for Justice (NJAJ) and was appointed by the Supreme Court of New Jersey to serve on the Committee on the Unauthorized Practice of Law. He has also been recognized twice as SABA-NJ’s Professional Lawyer of the Year by the New Jersey Commission on Professionalism in the Law.
Bhaveen believes there is something special about representing the people in the state where he was born, raised, and continues to live. He often says, “New Jersey has given me every opportunity in my life. Helping the people and communities that helped shape me isn’t just my profession-it’s my privilege.” That commitment continues to guide every client he represents and every case he prepares.
