Vicki W. Beyer is an attorney and expert in Workers’ Compensation Law as certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. Ms. Beyer is also the Chair of the Workers’ Compensation practice at Stark & Stark.
Ms. Beyer specializes her practice in all matters of workers’ compensation claims, social security disability, and disability pension appeals for public employees before the Office of Administrative Law.
In March 2008, the New Jersey Supreme Court issued a unanimous decision in favor of Ms. Beyer’s client, a permanently disabled former New Jersey Corrections Officer. The case, Guadagno v. Board of Trustees, Police and Firemen’s Retirement System, was the first to expand accidental disability retirement compensation under the Police and Firemen’s Retirement Systems to include mental disabilities that arise absent an accompanying physical disability.
Ms. Beyer is also qualified as a R. 1:40 Mediator on the Roster of Court Approved Mediators. She is a frequent speaker on workers’ compensation issues and has authored numerous articles as well. She serves as a Pupilage Leader, Treasurer on the Executive Board and on the Curriculum Committee of the Justice James H. Coleman, Jr. New Jersey Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court. She serves as a member of the NJSBA Workers’ Compensation Section Executive Committee. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Literacy New Jersey and serves as the Secretary. She also volunteers as a municipal court mediator in Mercer County.
Ms. Beyer is a frequent contributor to the Personal Injury Law Journal.
