Martin P. Schrama is a Shareholder in Stark & Stark's Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation Groups. Mr. Schrama has extensive experience litigating on both the trial and appellate levels of the federal and state courts of New Jersey and New York, as well as numerous other jurisdictions throughout the nation in a pro hac vice capacity. This experience also extends to regular practice before AAA and JAMS arbitration panels and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
The primary focus of Mr. Schrama’s practice are complex commercial litigation matters, with a concentration in trademark/intellectual property, securities, construction, UCC, franchise, civil RICO and class action litigation. Recently, Mr. Schrama served as counsel to a multinational corporation involved in the sale and construction of emissions cleansing technology. The client was the subject of extensive claims, arising from the retrofitting of a major East Coast coal-burning powerplant. Mr. Schrama successfully defended the combined claims emanating from multiple arbitration proceedings, which exceeded $50 million.
Presently, Mr. Schrama litigates intellectual property matters in various jurisdictions throughout the nation. Additionally, Mr. Schrama is also currently involved in the prosecution and defense of several statewide and nationwide mass tort lawsuits and commercial class actions, based on pharmaceutical, securities, consumer fraud and employment claims.
Mr. Schrama is also a member of the Stark & Stark Mass Tort/Pharmaceutical Litigation Team. The Mass Tort/Pharmaceutical Litigation Team is dedicated to applying its extensive experience in successfully prosecuting and defending large, complex class and mass tort actions, to pharmaceutical injury claims on behalf of individuals and their families.
