Stark & Stark Gives Back
The attorneys and staff of Stark & Stark donated over $5,000 and 44 bags of supplies to the Bridge of Children Orphanage and The Haitian Foundation of New Jersey for the victims of the recent earthquake in Haiti.
Stark & Stark's Associate Committee coordinated a food drive on behalf of the Mercer Street Friends Food Bank, and collected enough food and monetary donations to prepare 360 meals. The Mercer Street Friends Food Bank is a regional food bank whose mission is to alleviate hunger.
Stark & Stark attorneys and employees visited the Pediatric Cancer Unit of Hackensack University Hospital to distribute toys members of the firm collected for the children residing at the Hospital.
John Sakson led the firm in its battle against the nation's No. 1 killer at the Mercer County Start! Heartwalk with over 200 Stark & Stark employees walking on 14 teams. Collectively, the firm raised over $18,900 for the American Heart Association's mission to find a cure for heart disease.
Marci Jordan coordinated Stark & Stark's efforts to fill over 400 backpacks with school supplies which were donated to Camden elementary school children. The "Adopt A Family" and "Backpack Patrol" projects help over 100 families in the city of Camden.
Stark & Stark collected over 40 baskets of food this year to provide Thanksgiving dinners for local families through HomeFront, a non-profit agency providing a comprehensive network of services for the poor and homeless in Mercer County.
Ben Widener, of Stark & Stark's Litigation Group, raised over $1,500 for Back On My Feet - an organization which promotes the self-sufficiency of the homeless through running as a means to build confidence, strength and self-esteem.
