Gary S. Forshner, Shareholder, practices in the Real Estate, Zoning & Land Use Group.  Mr. Forshner concentrates his practice in commercial real estate, land use (zoning and planning) and real estate development. He has extensive experience on behalf of the telecommunications industry, including zoning and planning, leasing, and municipal bidding. Mr. Forshner  represents owners and developers in the residential, industrial, retail and office markets. His practice includes representation of national, international and local developers, and businesses as well as charitable organizations and has served as special land use counsel to municipalities. Mr. Forshner also serves as Special Counsel to the New Jersey Builders Association.

 

Mr. Forshner regularly speaks on such topics as zoning and planning, land use, eminent domain, real estate transactions, financing and leasing, and attorney and governmental ethics.

 

Mr. Forshner's long history of community service and civic involvement includes currently serving as the First Vice President, Trustee and General Counsel to the South Brunswick Family YMCA (including chairing the Major Gift Campaign), Trustee of the New Jersey Builders Association Scholarship Trust Fund, and Trustee of Adath Israel Congregation (as well as chair of the Budget and Finance Committee).  In 2005 Mr. Forshner was named as the Man of the Year by the Adath Israel Congregation and in 2008 he was named Man of the Year of the South Brunswick Family YMCA.

Mr. Forshner was recognized by Real Estate New Jersey Magazine in their 2009 “Meet the Lawyers” edition. This recognition is an annual compilation of the Garden State’s top real estate attorneys who have been selected because of their in-depth knowledge of the real estate industry and their involvement in some of New Jersey’s biggest projects. Additionally, Mr. Forshner has been honored by his inclusion in Woodward/White's 2010 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.
