Taylor W. (Brownell) DeSantis is an Associate and a member of Stark & Stark’s Family Law & Divorce Group. Ms. DeSantis concentrates her practice on divorce proceedings, including custody, alimony, child support, and equitable distribution. She also drafts prenuptial agreements and handles post-judgment litigation including modification applications, emancipation applications, complex custody disputes, college contribution applications, and domestic violence matters.
Prior to joining Stark & Stark, Ms. DeSantis served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Hany A. Mawla, J.A.D., for the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. As a law clerk, she researched and prepared weekly memoranda for civil, criminal, chancery, and family matters on appeal, and drafted and edited judicial opinions.
During law school, Ms. DeSantis was a research assistant for the Director of the Center on Law, Inequality, and Metropolitan Equity, where she researched and edited a project on legal remedies regarding children’s experiences with trauma. Ms. DeSantis was also a fellow for the Center for Gender, Sexuality, Law and Policy, and the Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Women’s Rights Law Reporter. Additionally, she is a current member of Stark & Stark’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.
