The United States Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) has announced a recall of certain CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilator devices made by Philips Respironics. Philips Respironics was forced to recall these products because they contained polyester-based polyurethane (PE-PUR) foam – a harmful and potentially cancer causing compound, which was shown to break down and possibly be inhaled or swallowed by patients.
Have you or a loved one used a Philips Respironics CPAP, BiPAP, or ventilator device and developed severe lung injury or cancer? You may be entitled to compensation. Speak with our attorneys today, free of charge, to be sure.
