Stark & Stark is proud to announce that Shareholder Timothy Duggan secured a $3,525,000 settlement on behalf of a commercial property owner in New Jersey, whose property was taken by eminent domain. This outcome reflects an increase of $1,385,000 above the government’s appraised value.
The case involved complex land use issues impacting the development potential of the property and required the support of an engineer, planner, and appraiser. The matter was successfully resolved as the parties were preparing to select a jury.
This case underscored the depth and complexity of the work involved with eminent domain cases. Tim leads as Chair of the firm’s Condemnation, Redevelopment & Eminent Domain Group.
Congratulations to Tim on his exceptional work and dedication to achieving this successful result for our client.
