Jordan Inver

Jordan Inver is an Associate in Stark & Stark’s Trusts & Estates group. He counsels individuals, families, fiduciaries, and other stakeholders in estate planning, estate and trust administration, and guardianship matters.

Before joining Stark & Stark, Jordan was a Tax Attorney at an accounting firm in Philadelphia, where he assisted clients in tax disputes. He also served as a student attorney with the Villanova Law Federal Tax Clinic, representing low-income individuals in examinations, administrative appeals, collection matters, and litigation before the United States Tax Court and federal district courts.

Jordan previously served as a law clerk with Green & Schafle in Philadelphia and Gawthrop Greenwood, P.C. in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He has also held several judicial internships and legal externships.

Estate Planning

Jordan assists clients in developing thoughtful, individualized estate plans designed to protect assets, carry out personal and financial objectives, and provide for loved ones during life and after death. His work includes the preparation and review of:

• Wills and revocable trusts
• Irrevocable trusts and wealth-transfer planning vehicles
• Durable powers of attorney
• Health care directives and related advance-planning documents
• Business-succession plans
• Guardianship designations for minor children
• Plans addressing incapacity, family dynamics, and long-term fiduciary management

Jordan draws on his tax-law background to help clients consider the tax and practical implications of their estate-planning decisions. Estate planning commonly addresses both lifetime incapacity and the transfer of property at death, often through wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health-care directives.

Estate Administration

Jordan assists executors, administrators, trustees, beneficiaries, and families with the administration of estates and trusts following a death. He helps clients navigate the legal, financial, and practical responsibilities that arise during probate and trust administration, including matters involving asset collection, creditor issues, distributions, fiduciary obligations, and the preparation of required court filings and accountings.

His estate-administration work includes:

• Advising fiduciaries regarding their responsibilities and duties
• Assisting with probate and estate-administration proceedings
• Guiding the collection, valuation, management, and distribution of estate assets
• Assisting with trust administration and beneficiary communications
• Addressing tax-related issues affecting estates and trusts
• Preparing or reviewing fiduciary accountings, releases, and related settlement documentation
• Helping clients resolve administration issues efficiently while preserving family relationships where possible

Guardianship and Court-Appointed Matters

Jordan represents clients in guardianship and conservatorship matters, including proceedings involving alleged incapacitated individuals. He assists families, fiduciaries, and other interested parties in navigating sensitive issues concerning personal welfare, medical decision-making, financial management, and the protection of vulnerable individuals.

Jordan’s guardianship-related work includes:

• Preparing and prosecuting guardianship and conservatorship applications
• Representing interested parties in contested and uncontested guardianship proceedings
• Advising guardians and conservators regarding their duties and reporting obligations
• Assisting with matters involving durable powers of attorney and health care directives
• Addressing issues involving capacity, financial exploitation, and the need for protective arrangements
• Serving in court-appointed capacities involving alleged incapacitated individuals, where appointed by the court
• Working with family members, health-care providers, fiduciaries, and other professionals to pursue practical solutions that protect the individual’s interests and dignity
