    Ian S. Abovitz

    Shareholder

Ian Abovitz is a Shareholder and member of Stark & Stark’s Accident & Personal Injury Department. Ian concentrates his practice on catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims, with a particular focus on crashes involving tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles. An experienced and aggressive litigator, Ian has represented clients in complex cases throughout Pennsylvania and in both State and Federal Courts.

Cases involving commercial vehicles often require a substantial commitment of time and resources along with a vast knowledge of federal rules and regulations, all of which can be overwhelming. Ian prides himself on holding those accountable who have recklessly injured others and will stop at nothing to ensure that he obtains just compensation for his clients.

Ian is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Pennsylvania Association for Justice, the Bucks County Bar Association, and the Philadelphia County Bar Association.

Ian  serves his community through his involvement in various non-profit organizations. He sits on the Board of Directors of the Miracle League of Northampton Township, an organization that provides special needs children and adults the opportunity to participate in various team sports. He is a proud resident of Philadelphia, and he serves on the Executive Committee of his neighborhood organization, South Kensington Community Partners.

Before joining Stark & Stark, Ian worked as an attorney for a defense personal injury law firm in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. He also served as a law clerk to the Hon. Timothy Savage at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
