The KinderSmile Foundation has welcomed Stark & Stark Shareholder Trina Glass to their newly formed Advisory Board that serves the KinderSmile Community Oral Health Center, Trenton. The KinderSmile Foundation’s mission is “to provide underserved children with access to comprehensive dental care and educate children and their families on the importance of dental hygiene.” Trina joins two other board members, expecting to bring on more board members in the next month. The Board’s responsibilities include helping with individual and corporate fundraising efforts, and researching future grant, event and partnership opportunities.
The foundation and its staff are very excited to welcome Trina to the team. “We’re delighted to see the start-up of our Advisory Board, which will help expand our presence and maximize our funding success in Mercer County,” says Dr. Nicole McGrath-Barnes, founder and CEO of KinderSmile Foundation. “I’m especially pleased that Trina Glass, with her strong knowledge and passion for public health, has joined our advisory board.”
As a leading member of this Board, Trina looks forward to helping the foundation and the community. “This program and foundation are important to me for many reasons,” Trina explained. “KinderSmile’s primary focus is to offer free and affordable dental care in underserved communities, and to provide education on dental hygiene, which in turn helps improve self-esteem and prevent future psychological issues associated with poor dental hygiene. Due to the high costs associated with dental care, it is important to receive proper funding and grants to help support the community. If my contribution is helping to raise money and bringing awareness to the program, I’m all for it.”
