On March 2nd 2021 Alex J. Fajardo, Esq. was installed into the Board of Trustees at the Paul Robeson Charter School (PRCS). Mr. Fajardo learned about the opportunity through his work at the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey. Alex’s term ends in 2024 and trustee responsibilities include overseeing the overall governance of the School to promote high academic achievement and ensure the legal and ethical integrity of the School. Some of Alex’s specific tasks will include approving budgets, working on and overseeing policy changes, and analyzing the School’s financial reports.
“To me, being on the Board is a way to recognize the quality of education I received in New Jersey, and to pay back all of those people in New Jersey who went out of their way to make sure I had a fighting chance,” Alex expressed. “As an immigrant and product of a public school education, I am especially excited to work on behalf of the students of PRCS, because they remind me of myself when growing up. Without doubt, I would not be where I am without the support and investment of those who came before me. I look forward to doing my part in helping PRCS students secure an academic pathway to success.”
