Ruben D. Perez is an Associate and member of Stark & Stark’s Real Estate, Zoning & Land Use, and Banking & Financial Services groups, where he represents developers, landowners, lenders, and individuals.
Prior to joining Stark & Stark, Ruben served as counsel to New Jersey municipalities, local public entities, public officials, and a historic preservation commission, focusing on matters regarding development, redevelopment, land use, utilities law, municipal law, and real estate. He has served his clients on issues pertaining to real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, redevelopment projects, tax abatements and appeals, local governance, zoning appeals, and affordable housing litigation.
While in law school at Drexel University’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law, Ruben was President of the Latin American Law Students Association and was a Criminal Law Dean’s Scholar. After graduating from law school, Ruben served as a Global Investigations Project Manager for a New York City company where he led and supported internal investigations conducted in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. These investigations were reviewed potential legal or ethical misconduct across global markets with a focus on Latin America.
