Beth L. Barnhard is a Shareholder and member of the Trusts & Estates Group at Stark & Stark. Ms. Barnhard concentrates her practice in the areas of elder and disability law, including Medicaid asset preservations plans, applications, administrative Fair Hearings and appeals; Medicaid divorce; guardianships and protective arrangements; estate administration; estate litigation; fiduciary litigation; and special needs planning.
Ms. Barnhard is certified as an Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the ABA-Accredited National Elder Law Foundation. Prior to Stark & Stark, Ms. Barnhard built her career representing elderly clients and their loved ones all across New Jersey.
Before attending law school, Ms. Barnhard worked as a rehabilitation aide and staff interpreter at a psychiatric vocational rehabilitation center, where she taught work skills and appropriate work behaviors to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those with multiple diagnoses.
Ms. Barnhard also worked as a freelance American Sign Language interpreter for the Deaf and Deaf-Blind. She received training as a Support Service Provider for the Deaf-Blind from the Commission of the Blind and Visually Impaired and the Helen Keller National Center. Ms. Barnhard received a Specialty Certificate in American Sign Language Interpreting from Union County College.
