Auberon Barley is a Summer Associate at Stark & Stark. Having attended The Pennsylvania State University for undergrad, Auberon will be a third year law student at Penn State Law School. At Penn State Law, Auberon is the Articles Editor on the Editorial Board for the Penn State Law Review. He is a member of Phi Alpha Delta, and is a member of Leading Law Students – Centre Volunteers in Medicine Board of Directors. He currently serves as a research assistant for Professor Megan Wright, where he conducts research and drafts memoranda contributing to a fifty-state survey of laws governing substance use during pregnancy and the effects of these laws on pregnant women’s health outcomes. Auberon is the recipient of the CALI Award, and is expected to obtain his Masters of Health Administration in May 2022 from the College of Health and Human Development.
Auberon has held various legal internships and externships over the past couple years. He served as a Legal Intern for Mount Nittany Health System, where he conducted research and drafted memoranda on subjects including: (1) the Pennsylvania Prohibition of Excessive Overtime in Health Care Act; (2) hospital co-location under Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regulations; and (3) medical records retention under state and federal law. He held a legal internship for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Corporate Legal Department, and a legal externship for the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel, Department of Human Services.
