Bill Singer is a shareholder in the Securities Practice Group, where he represents securities-industry firms, individual registered persons, and defrauded public investors. Mr. Singer has represented clients before the American Stock Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, the NASD, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission, and in criminal investigations brought by various federal, state, and local prosecutors. He also has the distinction of representing witnesses during high-profile Congressional investigations.

Before entering the private practice of law, Mr. Singer was employed in the Legal Department of Smith Barney, Harris Upham & Co.; as a regulatory attorney with the American Stock Exchange and the NASD (now FINRA); and as a legal Counsel to the Financial Industry Association; General Counsel to the NASD Dissidents’ Grassroots Movement; General Counsel to the Independent Broker-Dealer Association; and a founding member of the FINRA Dissident Movement.

Mr. Singer publishes the BrokeAndBroker.com and RRBDLAW.com websites, and authors monthly regulatory/legal columns for Registered Rep. Magazine (Street Legal) and the Wall Street Letter (Summary Discipline). He is a member of Forbes’ Intelligent Investing Investor Team. Mr. Singer regularly appears as a commentator on television and radio, and is frequently quoted in the press.
