Craig S. Hilliard is a Shareholder in the Commercial Litigation Group. He concentrates his practice in the area of federal civil litigation, including class actions, fraud, securities, employment, copyright/trademark and other complex civil litigation.  Prior to joining Stark & Stark, he served as a law clerk for United States District Court Judge Garrett E. Brown, Jr.

Mr. Hilliard has served as trial counsel to three broker-dealer defendants in one of the largest class actions in the country, In re Bennett Funding Group Securities Litigation, now pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. He also defended a parallel class action proceeding in New York state court. Mr. Hilliard has considerable experience litigating claims, as counsel to both plaintiffs and defendants under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.

Mr. Hilliard is also a member of the Stark & Stark Mass Tort/Pharmaceutical Litigation Team. The Mass Tort/Pharmaceutical Litigation Team is dedicated to applying its extensive experience in successfully prosecuting and defending large, complex class and mass tort actions, to pharmaceutical injury claims on behalf of individuals and their families. Mr. Hilliard frequently blogs on timely legal and legislative developments impacting plaintiffs in mass tort and pharmaceutical litigation cases for the Stark & Stark Mass Tort Law Blog.

In 2005, 2006 and 2007 Mr. Hilliard was honored by his inclusion in the list of  New Jersey Super Lawyers by New Jersey Monthly Magazine*. Mr. Hilliard is also a frequent contributor to the New Jersey Law Blog. You can read his most recent post here.
