The New Jersey Supreme Court in 1992 directed all lawyers to "become familiar with available dispute resolution programs and inform their clients of them." At Stark & Stark we have an active Dispute Resolution practice area, because we recognize the potential importance of Mediation and Arbitration in resolving disputes between parties and as a vital component of any litigation practice.

Recent Experience:
- As a mediator, assisted the parties in arriving at a global settlement of complex natural resource damages claims involving a New Jersey landfill. Case was mediated over many months and settled as a consequence of creative terms identified and advanced, to the mutual benefit of all parties.
- Settlement achieved pre-suit with national service firm in a case involving extensive property damage to offices of a medical practice. Settlement achieved in a single session with corporate counsel, saving the client tens of thousands of dollars in litigation expenses. This resulted in a favorable settlement achieved prior to filing suit, through mediation initiated by Stark & Stark, as counsel for Plaintiff.
- Assigned as a mediator for complex insurance coverage matter involving approximately six insurance carriers in an action seeking to apportion coverage among various layers of general liability insurance. Mediated settlement in complex environmental coverage claim involving layers of underlying and excess coverage in multi-decade asbestos claims. After several lengthy sessions, we assisted the parties in bringing about a global settlement of all claims.
